Wednesday was a good day for me. I required the loco working the Didcot and then I took an EMU out to International to cover the Poole- Notts. Well I didn't manage to wait for that because whilst I was telling a guy which was the last 87 I required for haulage it arrived on the other platform! I flapped my way over to it and was back in New Street a little earlier than I had expected. At International there had been several bashers heading the other way who couldn't understand why I was running for a mere “Laser”.

As is often the case the following day I had the same 87 working on a similar train out of International!
