Note: I only made note of my loco hauled trains at this time.
Monday's moves saw me taking the late running Didcot train to Solihull whilst most of my friends decided that was a bad move as the train back would be missed. However as we pulled into Solihull the train from Paddington was doing likewise. It was a one minute connection and the loco was Thornaby's 47313 which is big!
Tuesday started with me on a Wolverhampton move to get a required 82 and then heading to Leamington for the Poole – Notts there was nothing else of interest about today.
Wednesday was a disaster after I had taken the afternoon off work so that I could cover the working 47310 was rumoured to be on. It had been working everyday this week and I headed off to Banbury for it. When the train arrived it was definitely not the right 47 on the front and I then proceded to make all the wrong moves much to everyone's amusement, myself excluded of course.
On Thursday I looked like drawing another blank but I knew that I needed the Lickey Bankers because they arrived in New Street dragging a dead NB Peak! Then M60 came in headed by a pair of 20s with Mustoe and gang. I was persuaded to go to Gloucester with a NB 47 the journey itself being a riot as we shot down Karen's bash book which was so full of dubious entries it read more like a fudge book. I was able to get the bankers on my return leg so it proved to be a very successful evening.
